Dunsborough Beach Cottages has a fantastic kids playground and a sparkling swimming pool to keep the kids entertained for hours. If they love the beach, we are located absolute beachfront on the pristine waters and white sands of Geographe Bay.
The Margaret River Region is one of Western Australia’s most popular playgrounds, kids are spoilt for choice with fun parks, horseriding, a trip to the maze, animal farms and treats at the chocolate factory, lolly shop or ice cream parlours.
Only a few minutes drive from Dunsborough Beach Cottages is the new Xscape Fun Park with a water park, laser tag, trampolines, jungle mountain and more....
A little further in the legendary Tuart Forest is the new kid on the block - Forest Adventures South West. 8 acres of activities set in the trees for all ages and all fitness levels. The kids will love hanging around in the trees and playing Tarzan on the flying foxes that span for 150 metres.
Sunflowers Animal Farm has over 350 farm animals to pat, bottle-feed and interact with. There’s a playground, souvenir shop and a picnic area with free BBQ facilities for farm visitors.
Yallingup Maze will keep the kids entertained for hours with a big timber maze, nature playground, puzzles & games café and bouncy castle.
Many visitors to the Region enjoy tastings at the wineries and micro-breweries, many of which are family friendly and have created fun playgrounds and activities to keep the kids entertained whilst the rest of the family, kick back and relax with a glass of wine or beer. Many also offer kids meals.
A few to mention that are close to Dunsborough Beach Cottages is Aravina Estate in Yallingup, who offer a kids European designed playground and fantastic kids menu. Happs Wines on Commanage Road pride themselves on making wine for every palate and offer a relaxed, down-to-earth experience. The Flametree Winery and Cellary Door on Caves Road, half way between Busselton and Dunsborough, is open daily and produces brilliant Australian wine with a unique flavour, structure and depth.
Eagle Bay Brewery is family owned and located on a 66 year old working farm with fresh batches of beer, handcrafted wines and delicious food. Blue Manna Bistro is a buzzing, fully licensed restaurant that specialises in local seafood and produce.
You will find the best coffee in town at Hot Chocolatte with steamy hot beverages and icy cold creations, at Wild & Woods Cafe with local wholefoods and open 7 days, or at Yallingup Coffee Roasting Company who have been perfecting their roasting and blending techniques for over 20 years.. If it’s ice cream you’re in search of you can’t go past Simmos with their udderlicious sorbets and ice creams - dairy free options available too!
